Context & Problem
Most music streaming platforms are built around passive listening. Users consume content, skip tracks, and rely on algorithms that feel increasingly repetitive over time. While AI-generated music has rapidly evolved, very few platforms successfully turn music generation itself into an engaging, consumer-facing experience.
At the same time, Romanian manele culture remains heavily underserved in the digital product space. Existing platforms either focus on traditional streaming or low-quality generation tools that lack identity, personalization, and community-driven interaction.
The challenge was to design a platform that transforms AI music generation into an entertaining and culturally immersive product, allowing users to instantly generate personalized manele tracks based on custom prompts, moods, styles, and themes while maintaining a modern experience across both desktop and mobile.
Approach & Solution
The product was designed as a hybrid between an AI creation tool, a streaming platform, and a social entertainment experience. Instead of hiding the AI layer in the background, the experience places music generation at the center of the platform, making creation itself feel fast, interactive, and rewarding.
The interface combines dark cinematic visuals, high-contrast UI elements, and music-focused interactions inspired by modern entertainment platforms. Users can generate personalized songs, explore community-generated tracks, and interact with dynamic content feeds designed to increase retention and discovery.
Special attention was given to scalability and responsiveness across desktop and mobile devices. The system was structured around modular components, allowing the platform to support future AI capabilities, social features, creator tools, and content expansion without compromising usability or performance.
